This page summarises the policies that apply when you enrol in a course with Organisational Learning Australia Pty Ltd (RTO Code 110083, trading as OLA First Aid). It applies to our nationally recognised courses and our non‑accredited skills assessments, except where a section says otherwise. This is a plain-English summary; our full policy documents (POL 015 Student Access & Equity, POL 016 Complaints & Appeals, and others) remain the authoritative source.
By booking and paying for a course, you agree to enrol under these policies. Some courses have entry requirements (see the relevant course page) — it's your responsibility to check you meet these before booking. All students complete a short pre-training review (FRM 059 LLN Pre-Training Questionnaire) to identify any support needs before training begins, consistent with our Student Access & Equity Policy (POL 015).
A USI is required for anyone undertaking nationally recognised training in Australia. We cannot issue your Statement of Attainment without a valid USI. You can create one for free at usi.gov.au. A USI is not required for non-accredited skills assessments.
Course fees are shown inclusive of GST when you select a session. Full payment is required at the time of booking to secure your place. Payments are processed securely through our student management system, Eskilled.
You gain immediate access to online training and assessment materials as soon as you check out, so no refund is payable once you've enrolled.
To reschedule, contact us at info@olafirstaid.com.au as early as possible before your session.
We collect personal information to process your enrolment, deliver training and assessment, and meet our regulatory reporting obligations, including reporting to the National VET Data Collection where applicable. We handle your information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles. LINK FULL PRIVACY POLICY.
We're committed to fair access for all students regardless of background, disability or personal circumstances, consistent with our Student Access & Equity Policy (POL 015). If you need a reasonable adjustment to participate in training or assessment, contact us before booking so we can discuss options. You can raise access issues or concerns with your trainer at any time; if unresolved, they're escalated to our General Manager (1300 683 456, 9am–5pm). Where broader support is needed, we can share our Student Welfare Directory and, with your signed permission, contact support services on your behalf.
Every student completes a pre-training review (FRM 059 LLN Pre-Training Questionnaire) and, where needed, a full ACSF assessment to identify support requirements before training begins, consistent with our Student Access & Equity Policy (POL 015). Our standalone LLN Skills Assessment (assessed against ACSF Level 2) is also available separately and can help identify support needs ahead of accredited training.
Competency-based assessment may include a knowledge quiz, practical stations, a written task and a debrief/review, depending on the course. If you're assessed as "not yet competent," you'll be given the opportunity to be reassessed — speak with your assessor. AI tools are not permitted for any written or free-text assessment component. If you're already competent in a unit, you may apply for Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL); contact us to start the process. For safety-critical units, RPL applicants must still demonstrate current competency against all assessment requirements.
On successful completion of an accredited unit you will receive a nationally recognised Statement of Attainment. Skills assessment participants receive a results report. Both are issued electronically, typically within CONFIRM TURNAROUND of completion.
You can raise an access issue or concern with your trainer at any time. If it isn't resolved, or for any other complaint, contact our General Manager on 1300 683 456 (9am–5pm) or info@olafirstaid.com.au, consistent with our Complaints & Appeals Policy (POL 016). We aim to resolve complaints fairly and promptly. If you're not satisfied with the outcome, you may escalate to the VRQA.
All students are expected to behave respectfully toward trainers, assessors and other students, and to complete assessment honestly and without assistance from others unless explicitly permitted. AI tools are not permitted for any written or free-text assessment component.
Non-accredited skills assessments are not a nationally recognised qualification, unit of competency, or accredited course. They do not appear on your USI transcript and do not carry the Nationally Recognised Training logo. Results are provided as a report for use by you or, where you've authorised it, an employer.
